Our Story

Some companies start with a product. Salintus Health started with two people who refused to stop dreaming, two paths intertwined into one, like the infinity symbol you see in our logo.

2013 — The Leap

We’re Mafe and Yesid. In Colombia, Mafe was an emergency physician who wanted to help people since she was six years old; Yesid was a visionary who left home at eighteen to earn his degree in dentistry, and then reinvented himself inside INVIMA, the country’s national health authority, mastering the world of regulation, safety and quality control. When our paths crossed, our dreams merged into one — and in 2013 we came to Canada to build it from the ground up.

2013–2020 — The Struggling Years

What followed was a decade of stubborn, joyful perseverance. While caring for her oldest daughter and pregnant with her second, Mafe studied tirelessly to pass the MCCQE medical licensing exams. Although three rounds of residency applications didn’t result in the outcome she hoped for, she learned that true value was in the journey, not the prize. By her side, Yesid had the grit to get behind the wheel of a five-ton truck, making deliveries all over Toronto until he built his own business — a company that proudly carries the name of their children.

2021–2025 — The Tipping Point

We raised our children together and took every job that came along — every role unearthing new skills, from tech and innovation to the science of holistic health: the gut, the microbiome, the quiet power of nutrition, rest, and connection.

2026 — Salintus Health is Born

Only now do we see it: every step, unbeknownst to us, quietly drew us closer to Salintus. Our discipline and our healing path wove a trail of wellness, and after crossing many hurdles, we are ready to introduce it to others to regenerate lives and transform futures.
